The core flows
When you set up Wiz, it builds five automated flows for your store, each one covering a moment in the customer journey - from the first signup to winning back a lapsed customer. Every flow comes complete with its emails, timing, discounts, and triggers, all matched to your branding.
Everything described here is the default setup Wiz generates for you. None of it is mandatory - every trigger, delay, email, and discount is yours to change in the flow builder, and any flow can be turned off entirely.
Welcome
Your first impression. When someone becomes a new subscriber - usually through your pop-up - the Welcome flow greets them with a short series of emails and delivers their welcome discount, encouraging that important first purchase. In the email previews the code appears as a WELCOME-{DYNAMIC} placeholder - each subscriber receives their own unique code.
By default, contacts leave the flow as soon as they place an order, and each contact receives the welcome series only once, even if they sign up again. That's controlled by the Can a user re-enter this flow setting on the flow's trigger:

- Once per contact - only genuinely new contacts get the welcome series (the default).
- Allow re-entry - anyone who signs up enters the flow, even repeat sign-ups.
- Allow re-entry after delay - repeat sign-ups trigger the flow again after a cooldown you set.
The discount amount comes from the Max Discount you chose during setup - see How Wiz discounts work to change it.
Browse abandonment
For shoppers who looked but didn't leap. When someone views a product without adding it to their cart, this flow follows up - and its emails show each shopper the exact product they were viewing.
Abandoned checkout
Your revenue recoverer. When someone starts checkout but doesn't complete it, this flow reminds them to finish - showing their actual cart, every product they left behind. By default, the reminders stop the moment they place the order.
How these emails show each customer's own products
The emails in both abandonment flows contain dynamic product blocks - special blocks that automatically fill in each customer's cart or browsed products at send time. They work using merge tags like {{ products.productImage }}, {{ products.productTitle }}, and {{ products.productPrice }}, which Wiz replaces with real product details for each recipient.

Post purchase
The follow-up after the sale. Once a customer completes an order, this flow thanks them and keeps your brand top of mind - the groundwork for the second purchase.
Winback
Your comeback play. When a customer hasn't bought in a while, the Winback flow reaches out with the winback discount as an incentive to return - and stops as soon as they shop again.
Good to know
- Each flow has its own discount code, created automatically during setup. See How Wiz discounts work to review or change them.
- It's all just the default. Turn whole flows or single emails on and off from the Flows page, and edit triggers, filters, timing, and emails in the flow builder.
- These five are just the start - you can build your own flows for anything else. See Creating a custom flow.
Common questions
Do I need to set any of this up?
No - all five flows are generated during setup, ready to go. You just need to activate your emails once. See Activating your emails.
Why does the abandoned-checkout email show {{ products.productImage }} instead of a picture? That's the dynamic block's placeholder, shown in the editor and in test previews. When the email sends to a real customer, the merge tags are replaced with their actual cart items.
Where are the flows' discount codes set?
Each code lives in your Shopify Discounts, created by Wiz during setup. See How Wiz discounts work to review or change them - and remember to update the discount wording in the emails too.
Can I change when a flow's emails send?
Yes - every delay is editable. See Editing send delays & timing.
A flow isn't relevant for my store - can I turn it off?
Yes. Flip its toggle on the Flows page; it moves to Disabled flows and you can re-enable it any time.
