Editing send delays & timing
Every flow sends its emails on a schedule: the flow is triggered, and each email sends after the waiting period you've set. Wiz picks sensible timing for you based on best practices, but every delay is yours to change.
Changing a delay
Timing lives in the flow builder, where each waiting period is a Time Delay step between emails.
- Open Wiz → Flows & pop-up, click the flow's ⋯ menu, and choose Edit flow.
- Click the Time Delay node you want to change.
- Set Wait for to the number of minutes, hours, or days you want.

- Click Save in the bar at the top of the page to apply your changes.
How the delays work
Delays are measured from the previous step, not from when the flow started. So a delay of 2 days before the second email means it sends two days after the first one.
You can also add new waiting periods anywhere in the flow: click the + between two nodes and choose Add Time Delay. See The flow builder for everything else you can change.
Common questions
Do delay changes affect people already in the flow?
Changes apply going forward. Save your new timing and the flow will use it for future sends.
Can different emails in one flow have different delays?
Yes - every Time Delay node is independent. A common pattern: a short wait before the first reminder, longer waits before the follow-ups.
Can I remove a delay entirely?
Yes - click the Time Delay node's ⋯ menu and choose Delete. Just remember the next email will then send immediately after the previous step.
