# Understanding your contacts

Your **Contacts** page is where every person Wiz can email lives. It gives you a quick read on the size and health of your list, and it's the starting point for managing individual contacts.

---

## The three numbers at the top

At the top of the Contacts page you'll see three cards.

![The Contacts page showing Total, Active, and Suppressed counts](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/5/b/e/f/5bef2745dfd6dc00/understanding-your-contacts1-c_oyv47g.png)

- **Total contacts** - everyone in your account, no matter their status.

- **Active contacts** - everyone who *can* receive email. This equals **Total minus Suppressed**, and it's the number your plan is billed on.

- **Suppressed contacts** - addresses that *can't* receive marketing email: people who unsubscribed, were manually suppressed, or bounced.

So the three always add up simply: **Active + Suppressed = Total.**

| Each card has a **?** tooltip you can hover for a quick reminder of what it counts.

## The contacts table

Below the cards is the full list of your contacts. You can **search** for a specific person, **sort** the list, and open **Manage contacts** to filter and take action on individual contacts.

Each row shows:

- **Contact Name** and **Email**

- **Source** - where the contact came from: **EmailWiz** (captured through your pop-up or flows) or **Shopify** (an existing store customer).

- **Contact Created** - when the contact was added.

The **Source** column is handy for seeing how your list is growing - how many people Wiz captured for you versus customers who were already in your store.
