# Sending a test email

Before an email goes out to your customers, send yourself a test copy so you can check how it looks in a real inbox. Wiz makes this a one-click action.

---

## From an email's Edit dropdown

1. On the **Flows & pop-up page**, select the email you want to check.

2. Click **Edit** above the preview.

3. Choose **Send Test Email**.

Wiz sends the email to your own inbox so you can open it like a customer would.

---

## From inside the editor

If you already have the email open in the editor, you don't need to go back - there's a **Send Test Email** button at the top right of the editor page. Click it to send yourself the current version.

---

## What to check in your test

- The **subject line** and **preview text** read well in the inbox list.

- Images load, and any **AI hero image** text looks right (see [Editing your AI hero image](#)).

- Links and buttons go where you expect.

- The email looks good on **both desktop and mobile** - open the test on your phone too.

|| **A test email is just for you.** Sending a test doesn't send anything to your customers and doesn't activate or schedule the email.

---

## Common questions

**Where does the test go?**

To your own inbox - the email tied to your Wiz account.

**Will customers get the test?**

No. A test only goes to you. Your flow emails send on their triggers, and campaigns send when you schedule them.

**The dynamic cart looks empty in my test.**

That's expected. The Abandoned Checkout cart fills in with each customer's real products at send time - see [Don't edit the dynamic cart blocks](#).
