Plans & billing

Your plan and billing details live in Brand & Settings → Plan & billing. This article explains what you'll see there and how Wiz bills you.

What's on the Plan & billing page

Go to Brand & Settings → Plan & billing. Under Your subscription you'll see:

  • Active contacts - your current number of active contacts, and the tier it puts you in.

  • Your plan - Pro or AI Agency, its status, and the date it next renews (your next billing date).

  • Manage plan - change your plan, or switch between monthly and quarterly billing.

  • View the pricing scale - the full price list for every tier.

The plans

Wiz has two plans, both priced by your number of active contacts (all your Shopify customers who haven't unsubscribed):

  • Pro - Self-service with AI features - you create and send with Wiz's tools. Includes branded flows built and launched for you, the AI campaign builder and drag-and-drop editor, gamified pop-ups, and chat support.

  • AI Agency - Wiz plans, writes and sends your emails. You just approve. Includes everything in Pro, plus a deep brand knowledge center, a monthly campaign calendar planned for you, every email written and designed on-brand, ongoing optimization of what works, and priority support.

Both plans start with the same 7-day free trial. You choose your plan on the first screen when you install Wiz.

Prices

Pro starts at $29/mo and AI Agency at $99/mo, for up to 2,000 active contacts. As your list grows or shrinks, your price moves to the matching tier automatically.

Only active contacts count. Suppressed contacts (unsubscribed, bounced, or manually suppressed) are not billable, which is why your active-contact number can differ from your total contact count. For the full breakdown, see What counts as an active contact?.

Monthly or quarterly billing

  • Pay monthly - billed every 30 days.

  • Pay quarterly (save 30%) - you prepay 3 months at 30% off: the monthly price × 3 × 0.7 (the monthly price × 2.1), covering exactly 90 days. Your renewal date is 90 days after the period starts and never moves. At renewal, your plan renews at the tier and plan you're on at that time.

Whichever you choose, your AI credits reset every 30 days.

Changing your plan

You can change your plan, or switch between monthly and quarterly, at any time from Brand & Settings → Plan & billing → Manage plan.

The Manage plan and Upgrade buttons on the Plan & billing page

  • Upgrades take effect right away - moving to a higher tier, to AI Agency, or from monthly to quarterly.

  • Downgrades take effect from your next billing cycle - moving to a lower tier or plan, or from quarterly back to monthly. There's no refund for the current period; only your next renewal changes.

On quarterly billing, a mid-period change is charged pro rata and your renewal date stays the same:

  • Switching from monthly to quarterly - the unused part of your current month is subtracted: what you paid × days left ÷ 30.

  • Upgrading during a quarterly period (a higher tier, or Pro → AI Agency) - you pay the price difference × days left ÷ 30 × 0.7, compared with the highest price you've already paid this period, so you're never charged twice for the same tier.

The Shopify spending cap

When you start, Shopify asks you to approve a maximum spending cap. It's a ceiling, not your bill - it lets Wiz move your plan up or down without interrupting your emails. Your actual charge always matches your plan, your billing period, and your active contacts.

  • Monthly billing - a $3,000 cap.

  • Quarterly billing - a $6,000 cap. If you switch from monthly to quarterly, Shopify asks you to approve it then. It stays approved if you go back to monthly.

Common questions

Why is my Active Contacts number different from my subscriber count?

Active contacts include everyone mailable, not only subscribers. See What counts as an active contact?.

Was I charged the full spending cap?

No - see the section above. The cap is only a ceiling, not your charge.

When is my next bill?

Your Plan & billing page always shows your next billing date, next to your plan.

How do I change my plan?

Go to Brand & Settings → Plan & billing and click Manage plan. Within a plan, your tier follows your active contacts automatically.

Is there a free plan?

There's no free plan, but both plans have a 7-day free trial. Wiz is free on Shopify development stores.
