# Importing & migrating your contacts

You don't need to manually import your existing customers into Wiz - it syncs them from Shopify for you. Moving contacts from a *different* email platform is a little different, and we'll help you with that directly.

## Your existing Shopify contacts - automatic

When you install Wiz, it **backfills and syncs all your existing Shopify contacts automatically.** There's nothing to upload - your customers flow in on their own.

This sync can take **a few hours** to finish, especially for larger lists, so don't worry if your full contact count doesn't appear instantly.

## Migrating from another platform (Klaviyo, Shopify Email, etc.)

If you're moving from another email tool and want to bring over contacts or subscriber history, **get in touch with our team** and we'll help you figure out the best way to do it for your setup.
