# Excluding pages from the pop-up

Sometimes you don't want the pop-up to appear on certain pages - for example your About or contact pages, or a landing page that already has its own sign-up form. Wiz lets you exclude those pages with the **Excluded URLs** field.

Open **Wiz → Flows & pop-up**, expand **Pop-up**, and scroll to **Excluded URLs** below the Triggers & Funnel section.

## How exclusions work

The **Excluded URLs** field uses a **substring (contains) match**. The pop-up won't trigger on any page whose URL *contains* the text you enter.

For example, entering:

``` /about-us ```
stops the pop-up from showing on any URL that includes `/about-us` - such as `yourstore.com/pages/about-us`.
Because it's a "contains" match, you don't need the full URL - just enough of the path to identify the page(s) you want to skip.
---
## Tips
- **Keep entries specific.** A very short fragment can match more pages than you intend. For instance, `about` would also match a URL like `/products/about-face-cream`. Prefer a clear path segment such as `/about-us`.
- **Use the path, not the full address.** Entering the path portion (like `/pages/contact`) is usually all you need.
- **One page type at a time.** Add the distinct fragment for each page or group of pages you want to exclude.
| After adding or changing excluded URLs, save your changes, then test in a private/incognito window to confirm the pop-up behaves the way you expect. (In a normal browser the pop-up may already be suppressed for other reasons - see [Pop-up triggers & display rules](#).)
