# Creating your first campaign

Campaigns are one-off emails you send to a chosen audience - a sale, a launch, an announcement. Wiz generates the whole thing from a short description: subject line, copy, a designed email with a hero image and your products, and a recommended audience.

|| **Before you can send:** campaigns require a **connected sending domain**. You can build and preview a campaign without one, but you'll be asked to connect your domain at the sending step. Set it up first - see [Connecting your domain](#).

## Start a campaign

In **Campaigns**, click **Create Campaign**. You'll choose a method: **Generate with AI** (the recommended way), **Start from template**, or **Plain text** to write a simple text email yourself (see [Plain text campaigns](#)). Keep the method on **Generate with AI** and fill in the details.

**1. Describe the campaign.** Tell Wiz what it's for. The more specific you are, the better the result - mention the occasion, the offer, the audience, and the tone. For example: *"Promote our skincare collection for the summer sale, upbeat and fresh."*

**2. Choose what to feature.** Pick **Product**, **Collection**, or **All Products**:
- With **Collection** or **All Products**, you can showcase **up to 3 products** in the hero.

- With **Product**, a single product is featured.

**3. Add a discount (optional).** Choose a code (or generate a random one), set the value, and set the active dates. The discount applies to whatever you chose to feature - the product, the collection, or all products - **not only the items shown in the hero**.

Click **Generate** and Wiz builds your campaign in about 20 seconds.

## Review your campaign

Your generated campaign opens in the editor with everything filled in: a recommended audience, a subject line and preview text, and a designed email with an AI hero image and your products.
